## Thesis

KOHR operates on a thesis: **a place is a living system of data**. Most decisions that matter — where to invest, where to protect, where to build, where to anticipate — still get made as if place were just context and data just abstractions. KOHR starts from the opposite premise: territory itself is what gets read. Its land, environment, economy, and health are layers of a single readable system. Reading it well — and keeping it readable — is the craft.

## Disciplines

KOHR operates four disciplines applied to reading territory:

1. **Software engineering** — Analytical platforms, government dashboards, geospatial APIs, agricultural monitoring platforms, IoT sensor networks, real-time tracking systems. Open standards, code clients can inherit.
2. **Applied AI** — Predictive risk models, urban mobility models, automated event classification, entity extraction from text, generative AI for analysis. Embedded in the problem, not decorative.
3. **Digital transformation** — Process modernization, legacy systems integration, data unification layers, information governance models. The precondition for any reading to be possible.
4. **Data-driven marketing** — Analytics, multi-touch attribution, territorial segmentation, growth optimization, executive dashboards. Market decisions you can defend with evidence.

## How a territory is read (four layers)

1. **Cadastral layer (land)** — parcels, blocks, land use. The canvas every government decision gets drawn on.
2. **Environmental layer** — vegetation, watersheds, ecological corridors, protected areas. Each layer reshapes what any decision can do.
3. **Economic layer** — port, commerce, tourism, industry, agriculture. How people, goods, and capital move — and how far any decision reaches.
4. **Public-health layer (vital signs)** — morbidity, healthcare coverage, environmental indicators, public safety. Where reading the territory becomes diagnosis.

## KOHR Atlas

**KOHR Atlas** is the platform on which KOHR's territorial intelligence is built. **Sereno** — its first live module, in production in Santa Marta — turns crime news coverage into a public-safety map any mayor can read. Multi-city architecture: any Colombian city activates through local configuration in the database.

KOHR publishes one real case and two work patterns (these are not executed projects — they describe how KOHR would address frequent problems in each vertical):

Describes how KOHR would address the common problem of local governments with multiple legacy cadastral systems that don't talk: an integration layer that reconciles without replacing. Capabilities: custom software + digital transformation. Typical stack: PostgreSQL + PostGIS, FastAPI, Next.js, Leaflet, Docker, OpenAPI.

Describes how KOHR would address the frequent pattern in cooperation and environmental NGOs: prioritize coast stretches for mitigation interventions under a limited budget. Methodological note: the model describes risk morphology, does not predict events. Capabilities: AI + territorial intelligence + software.
